January
During the first session, we were discussing about the PYP Exhibition. We discussed our transdiciplinary theme: How We Express Ourselves then we also discussed about the PYP descriptor. After we discussed about our PYP descriptor we then discussed the Central Idea and the lines of inquiry for the theme 'How We Express Ourselves'. The central idea was art forms that can be used to communicate. Our lines of inquiry are:
Afterwards, we brainstormed some of the ideas for our PYP Exhibition title and we chose 5 Leaders. The leader then picked 1 title as his or her topic, then we decided to go to the group with a topic of which we were interested in.
In the last session we had a session with the grade six students. They explained to us what we needed to do for the PYP Exhibition. We then knew the challenging parts of the PYP Exhibition from their explanations. They also showed their blogs and shared some explanation about how to make the blog.

February
This month, we had a session with the grade 6 students to learn about what to do or what not to do in the PYP exhibition. We also had our IB plannner, signing the 'My Roles and Essential Agreements Sheet', grouping of the PYP group, and the lines of inquiry are done. On the 25 February 2016, we went for a field trip to SPH. This long trip to SPH was well worth it as we managed to find some factors that made their presentations looked good. We took out the negative things and discussed on how to improve on that topic or how to avoid it. Some considered it useless or a waste of a time. But it was indeed useful because we asked for some tips and now we can have a clearer path for our PYP Exhibition.
March
In the first week of March, we went to the PYP Exhibition of SPH School in Lippo Cikarang. Ms. Kavita showed us examples and taught us to write a central idea and the lines of inquiry. Next week, we will need to create our central ideas. In order for us to come up with a central idea, we had to relate it to the action we were planning to do for our topic. After brainstorming for two days we wrote the central idea. Our central idea is “Photography creates awareness and can spark people to undertake action.”
March 15th -18th, we had our exploration week. One group went to Bali and another one stayed in school for camping. We had a lot of fun in Bali. We learnt how to do Balinese dance, made wooden masks and learned how to save the environment. We also witnessed the rich culture of Bali. In school, the students did a lot of activities such as making ceramics, playing traditional instrumental music as angklung, gong, etc. This experience made us to be more responsible students.

First week of April
This week we had our first meeting with our parent mentors, and it was a blast! We covered the basic three questions that we were supposed to cover. They were:
- Covering the Central Idea and Lines of Inquiry
- Taking action
- Formulating questions
Second week of April
This week, we practiced our PYP performance, as we know our part in this week. We also had Aunty Henny (Davin's mom) came to assist us for our PYP exhibition. We formulated the questions to be asked to Ibu Wulan, the person in charge at Kota Tua and we did a brief research on our first line of inquiry, which is the benefit of photography and a brief introduction about photography . That day we decided to make a short power point about our journey throughout this PYP Exhibition. We also decided on what the topic is for our role play. We distributed the work among ourselves so that everyone is aware about their part for this Photography Group. Aunty Henny helped us by printing out for us some information about photography. It was a pleasure and great to have Aunty Henny as the parent mentor on that day, as we need some help from a mentor for our PYP Project.
Third week of April
This week, Aunty Baiyu (Grace's mom) came to do the mentoring session with us. On that day, we decided on who's going to do what and what parts that we should be responsible for, so that everyone can contribute on the project equally. Davin decided to go back to Kota Tua as we needed more pictures that portray some buildings that were abandoned. We were asked to interview a photographer as well as our source for the photography project. Aunty Tessa managed to get us an interview session with her friend who is a Creative Director and also a photographer. We decided to visit the photographer on the 30th April 2016. We distributed the work among ourselves and we can't wait to visit the photographer and learn from him next week.
Fourth week of April
This week, Aunty Tessa (Chrysandra’s mom) came to school to help us with our unfinished work. It was a pleasure to have her, as we were a bit behind on our schedule. We needed to finish our script and our first Line of inquiry also needed a little touch up. We also required to upload the research sections as it has not been uploaded into the blog. So, we distributed the work among ourselves so that we can catch up and meet the target deadline.
She also helped us with arranging a meeting with her close friend, who is a Creative Director of an advertising agency, who also loves photography. His name is Mr. Albert Widjaya. We interviewed Mr. Albert at his office to understand more about photography. Mr. Albert has worked for more than 30 years and he had dreamed to be a professional photographer since the age of seven. He shared with us the several types of cameras, i.e. medium format, the mirrorless, compact, and smartphone cameras. He also showed us the parts of the camera and their uses, explained the camera control and functions like auto mode, aperture and priority, shutter priority, and manual mode.
Finally, he showed us some of his pictures that he had taken across the world like the Cathedral in Scotland and the Big Ben in London with an amazing background where he captured a moment of the sun shining up right to the building. Those pictures look amazing and very beautiful. We got substantial informations from Mr. Albert about photography.

First Week of May
This week was a short week at school as we only had 3 days to work together at school with our project. During our school days, our teacher told us that we made some mistakes with our work. It was a tough week because we had to work very hard to meet our deadlines.
As a group, we tried our best to fix our work and so far it’s going quite well. There was a very small fight within our group, but it was a verbal fight and we managed to settle this fight. This maybe considered as one of our hardest week because we were the only group who could not catch up with our deadline.
To catch up with the other groups and meeting our deadlines, we decided to meet up at Chrysa’s house on Thursday, to do some work and finish off some pending things that we needed to finish this week. We hope that we can meet the deadline and can move to the next step of the project.
This week we also made some corrections to our postcard and bookmarks using pictures from our trip to Kota Tua. We also put additional descriptions for some pictures. We then tally our survey results for the charts . We also revised our first line of inquiry. We were planning to go to a printing store to ask the cost to print our bookmarks and postcards, but the store was closed for the long holiday and will open next Monday. We will need to find out the cost of printing next week when the store is open.

Second Week of May
This week was a busy week. We analyzed the data collected from our surveys. We used bar graphs and pie charts to present our results. It was quite hard but we tried our best to finish it this week. On Wednesday morning we finished our survey analysis, and then Ms. Kavita checked it and we put it on the blog. We have started making a movie comparing the past and present to create awareness that we are losing our heritage.
This week, we had some fights too, but we tried to solve them by ourselves. To solve our problems, we all decided to do our own work and not interfere with the work assigned to other group members. Our leader, Chrysa also told us to vote for the right opinion. Now, we are meeting our deadlines for this week.

Third Week of May
This week was a busy week at school. We worked on our PYP exhibition. On Monday, we tried creating a logo that best fits our topic. We wrote a script to present our blog because we wanted to practice for our presentation next week. Our group was also working on our short movie. We also did improve our power point to make it better.
On Tuesday and Wednesday, was even a better day! We wrote about the skills that we showed in the PYP exhibition. It includes social, self-management, thinking and communication skills. Each of us chose a skill and wrote down how we showed those skills.
The last day of the week was on Thursday. We posted our pending work on our blog and it was completed. We also had a meeting with our teacher mentor Ms. Fonsa. She helped us to correct some spelling errors on the blog. We also began practicing the script that we wrote.
